Hello!

I am Robin Fator (Raw-bin Fay-ter) she/her

Born and raised in Northern California, I now reside in a gorgeous seaside hamlet in North County San Diego where my family and I surf, hike, and stay grounded in the natural world. As an Arts Commissioner for the City of Encinitas, I volunteer my time to support the arts in my local community. My career has been shaped by a deep belief in the power of creativity, storytelling, and strategic design to drive change and build community. From founding a nonprofit that elevated local makers to leading brand, marketing, and development efforts at purpose-driven organizations across arts, education, fashion, and sustainability, I’ve built a multidisciplinary portfolio at the intersection of design and mission.

With over a decade of experience in non-profit leadership, marketing, communications,  and creative direction, I lead cross-functional teams through complex, multi-stakeholder projects, from digital campaigns and e-commerce launches to brand system overhauls and integrated storytelling initiatives. My work blends high craft with systems thinking, ensuring every creative output aligns with strategic objectives while maintaining design excellence across channels.

Whether directing multimedia content, refining brand voice, or developing omnichannel engagement strategies, I work in fast, iterative cycles, embracing feedback as fuel for stronger outcomes. I’ve managed agency relationships, mentored designers and writers, and collaborated closely with internal partners across product, marketing, and development teams.

I bring a collaborative, values-based leadership style to my work. I thrive in environments that require both creative agility and operational clarity, and I’m energized by building cultures of trust, experimentation, and continuous learning. As a Multimedia Arts graduate from San Diego State University and a lifelong creative, I understand how strong design and storytelling can simplify complexity and make meaningful change more accessible.

Throughout my densely packed life, I have taken the road less traveled, this has given me real-life experience in problem-solving (learn more about how I started a fashion brand with $25), project management, and practical business knowledge. I believe amazing stories and creativity can change the world. My best work is still ahead of me. Let’s work together.
